thank you for the compliment! I acutally like(d) Val Kilmer when he played movies like "The Saint"

But a Batman with a German accent? I could have played the bad guy, perhaps!?

I don't know, German batman can't be any worse than Italian batman. Also, it's to be noted that Ben Affleck isn't batman in a batman movie, he's batman in a superman movie.

No shame in reading the comics (haven't myself but I know a few people who do )

I read an interview with Christopher Nolan after the announcement of batman in Man of Steel (before the Ben Affleck was cast) saying his Batman was done. I can't find the interview but here's something similar.
