I love these lore segments they have been putting out, it could make for having an in-game karma system based on what ship/armaments you have, or even just where you are hauling to and from!

Following the concept of breaking the laws, I love the idea that they outright state their role in extinct species from that planet. This makes me wonder what info we will get about the conservationists in the game, do they have an "ark planet?" That would be a cool planet to go visit. Back to the subject at hand though, delivering goods could be very interesting if we are able to ship slaves to planets. Also shipping weapons themselves would be kinda cool if we were able to "test them out" and not tell the recipient.

For enforcement of the law I wonder if there will be a bounty system from the authorities put on people that do stuff like this. Kinda like the "X" series space games. Being able to take down a black market transport of goods and return it to the police would be cool too.

This would also leave a grey area if they are paid automatically, as they could just take the goods and run to sell them saying "oh it was destroyed in combat."

Well, your ideas bring up another topic we should discuss!

What kind of reputation do we want to have? Are we going to accept all missions just to make as much profit as possible, selling slaves and illegal goods or do we draw certain lines within the corporation?

Good question Magnet, we already discussed many subjects but there are still so many to be talked about. Regarding illegal activities within the Corp I believe Tealstone will clarify that on the Bylaws thread. Like in real life, even the most politically correct Corporations have their hidden deviances.

I like how they have completely trashed the planet they bought, and the CEO basically says "Hippy groups? They aren't buying our products so f them, let them protest"
