Has anyone else tried Starpoint Gemini 2 or Starlight Inception? Both are available on Steam early access and look like promising space games till SC gets here. I got both and hopefully multiplayer will be out soonish.

I have unfortunately spent way to much money on video games recently, plus I'm getting a kitten Saturday, so my budget won't allow for this right now. Otherwise I would get it. It looks like a great game

I have Gemini 2. It is an alpha of an alpha of an alpha; practically unplayable. I bought it, tried it a few times and not just sits there. If you want it wait until they finish it, otherwise this is a waste of time and money.

Best of luck with the kitten! Got 3 myself and 3 dogs, 2 huskies and a pug puppy. Cats are Lola, Athens, and Spaz. Huskies are Lily and Bam while the 4 month old pug is Pickles. I got a crazy household!

The X series or Evochron Mercenary are both good games to play during the wait, for more modern Space games. You could always go back to those halcyon days of Wing Commander and FreeSpace though, that's always fun.
