Flight Tutorial?

Can anyone please post a link of one using the Xbox controller?

I fully understand how to fly based on the "flight training" in arena commander. However as I mess around with 2.1 in the PTU I am finding a plethora of modifications to the control scheme, particularly having issues with the Xbox controller (especially with the constellation andromeda) If anyone knows of an updated tutorial it would be a great help.

If you can find a video (because for the life of me I can't find one) of someone taking you through flying a conni (or any multi crew ship) on the controller it would be perfect.

Thank you in advance!

I've debated in my own head what controller to use, but haven't given it much consideration because of the level of the game in development. Your post got me to thinking about it again, and I read some good info about xbox360 controller being leagues beyond joystick/keyboard options. So if this is the case I would like to see the same video your looking for. I just bought an xbox One about a month ago to play Fallout 4, but now I'm wondering why I bought the xbox when the modding is so good on the PC. I've really come to love the controller however, and wanted to ask why people specify xbox 360 controller. Is there something better or exclusive about it on a PC?

"The new PC drivers will enable the Xbox One controller to be used with any game that featured gamepad support for the Xbox 360 controller," explains Microsoft's Major Nelson. "Simply download the drivers, connect your Xbox One controller to your computer through a micro USB cable and you'll be gaming in no time."

Thoughts?

It's simpler to use from my experience. With the number of light modes, weapon groups, power allocations it is just much simpler and faster to have every possible variation of the above mentioned under two thumbs rather than both hands.

I personally find myself having to look down at the keyboard because in order to remember what button does what lmao.. Moreover you have to utilize keys all over the keyboard.

The x55/joystick setups might be good a s soon as controls are a bit more fleshed out, but frankly in terms of utility, ignoring the "cool factor" (of HOTAS) the Xbox controller seems to be the most efficient option. At least as of today.

I'm also gonna try that steam controller as well. Feels like it would be more accurate.

On that same token, be sure to check out my post on this board about VoiceAttack -- I honestly believe that this will be a game changer with all of the possible shield and power configs.

I think all my posts comment on how confused I am about controls. I want simple, quick, easy, responsive. I don't want immersive. I think I've decided I'm going with xbox controller until I see how the game changes over the next 12 months. $300 is a lot to put into a hotas and pedals for now. I'm super interested to see how the voice controls work out in conjuction. However, I am buying a 4K monitor in a week if anyone has any input.

This is what I'm leaning towards.
