1. Character Name: Duce

2. Division Request: Hell's Angels preferably

3. Previous Space Sim Experience: Mainly the old, old school Star Wars space fighters (TIE Fighter is probably still my favorite PC game of all time), Descent. I unfortunately didn't learn about the Wing Commander series waaaay later in my life, but fell in love with the lore. I've also played EVE a bit here and there.

4. Veteran/Pledge Status: Scout/Mercenary (Original Backer). Starting with an Aurora MR, though I just found out you can upgrade pledges, so I might actually upgrade to an Origin 300i. Not sure yet.

5. A Little About Myself: Well let's see where to start. Duce is actually a derivative of my old WoW character Ilduce (or Il Duce for you Boondock Saints fans). However, most people pronounced it incorrectly as Duce (like Deuce, instead of Doo-che), so it kind of stuck, and I grew fond of it.

I'm 31 years old, and I am an Implementation specialist in Orlando, mainly concerned with website implementation and my company's inhouse POS sales system, so I'm an IT geek at heart. I speak English and Spanish IRL. I'm an avid Star Wars and Star Trek fan, and pretty much sci-fi in general.

I'm a salty veteran of MMOs; I've actually lost count on how many I've played in my time, but one that'll stay dear to my heart is Anarchy Online, my very first MMO.

A fun fact: back when I was -much- younger, I used to play in a Wing Commander text-based MUSH (or multi-usered shared habitat), in which I played as a Union of Border Worlds pilot, and was one of the top aces for their navy. So by being part of the Hell's Angels, I guess I could relive some of my glory days lol.

Greetings, Duce!

Always nice to have another geek onboard... I manage the web team at a college here in Delaware -- we run an SVN repository for code and revision control that's pushed out to our -dev environments. From there, we edit a particular file to push out to our production site... It's a lot of fun to play with those post-commit hooks and have the separate environments available.

In any case, we may have crossed paths at some point -- I started MUD'ing in the early 90's, but mostly wound up switching to MUSH's by 1994... I mostly played SNW TrekMUSH, but I remember spending some time on a Wing Commander MUSH and, from the sound of it, I think it might have been the same one. I actually still visit them on occasion (Mostly Serenity MUSH), but I haven't had much time to really get in and get involved with TP's.

I look forward to talking with you in the future to see if we might have been in the same place at the same time!

You played on SNW? Get out of here, I used to play on Strange New Worlds myself! My character's name was Manny Cavalera, and my toon's name in the Wing Commander MUSH was AJ Daz. I also played in a Star Wars MUSH, SW2, under the name Cantrell. I have a few friends who play (or played) on Serenity MUSH.

I was an admin on SNW, actually... for a while, I was Newbie_Helper, but my main character was Chade Jeffers (I used that name most everywhere). I did the Star Wars MUSH for a while as well... Kind of crazy!
