5. About me : Well, I am a 25yr old male from Ireland. At the moment I am studying Multimedia Applications Development in college. I teach kids Muay Thai and kickboxing for a living and also compete at an amateur level in Muay Thai. Currently single. I am probably addicted to coffee, but that's just between me and you.
One of the reasons I took an interest in Citadel Conglomerate is because it is a new organization. I have gone through the forums over on the official website and while all the organizations over there seem great, they are all well established which seems a bit daunting to me. I like a fresh start with people who are coming together for the first time.
I would love to see this prosper, and hopefully ( if accepted ) we can get a decent group of players together.

During these formative months, are you interested in taking an active role in developing the corporation? (Not a trick question, if you are, great. Otherwise, it's completely understandable). - I am very interested in taking an active role. With the games release a year or two down the line, there is a lot of room and opportunity to grow the corporation. Time is on our side.

If so, what type of contributions/tasks do you see yourself helping with? - I can offer a wide range of services in terms of tasks and goals that need to be done. I am willing to create graphics, logos, propaganda posters etc. I will actively take up a recruitment role if needs be. I see myself as a very organized and efficient person ( bordering on the line of OCD at times ) so getting stuff done will not be a problem. When the numbers grow, and leadership is needed in certain areas I will take charge if needs be. Wether that be an Officer, squad leader etc.

Which leads me on to some questions -

1. What ranks are there in the organization?
2. How is promotion earned?

As this is a new organization, I fully understand if these matters are not fully fleshed out yet.


Nothing beats Trad music after a few drinks. I always said I would learn some kind of musical instrument, nut never got round to it. I rather listen and dance around anyway instead of making the music
Shannon to Dublin is a nice drive. Some great scenery on the way.
I haven't done much video editing, but I know my way around some software like Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere Elements. I am no pro though. Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Illustrator is where I am most comfortable.

Outstanding. I definitely love the globe -- a very nice representation that would look nice on the hull of the ship. If the black arc's were cleaned up, I think it would make a great logo.

I'm fairly decent at Photoshop, but most of my experience is with simple logos or editing photographs, so your skill set would perfectly augment what we need to make ourselves distinct and recognizable. Help with recruiting is always more than welcome (I believe that our topic has fallen off of the first page) and leadership positions will need to be filled as that's defined.

Regarding your questions:

1. What ranks are there in the organization?

Because of duality of what we're trying to accomplish, I had the following in mind... The top tier leadership would consist of:

CEO: Day to day operation of the group.
Director of Industry Operations: Manages fleet operations for Adam and Eves.
Director of Combat Operations: Manages fleet operations for Hell's Angels.

Beneath the DCO, you'd have a military like structure. Ensign 2nd Class, Ensign 1st Class (Ensign), Lt. JG, 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant (Lieutenant), Lieutenant Commander, Commander, Captain, Vice Commodore, Commodore, Rear Admiral, Vice Admiral and Admiral. In addition, pilots can also be designated as Wing/Squad commander if we get to the point where we're splitting off and flying with regular wingmen and groups of pilots.

I'm thinking that having ranks in this configuration will allow pilots to keep people moving up and have a sense of achievement within the corporation.

Below the DIO, I'm still unsure about the ranks for Adam and Eves, so I'll be soliciting input on that.

Other director positions may be added based on our in-game and out of game needs.

2. How is promotion earned?

Time served is certainly one factor and distinguished service will certainly play a heavy role. We may want to consider commendations based on certain in-game actions (kills, missions completed, number of escort runs, etc), but, again, we'll need to see what kind of information is tracked in-game that we can access.

In any case, I'd like to officially invite you into the Citadel Conglomerate. If you accept, you'll be assigned into the Hell's Angels squadron with other duties to be determined.

I do love the shape the logo is taking on -- the globe is an outstanding visual and it just looks cool). If the black lines can be cleaned up, I think it would make a great representation for us.

I like the graphical changes in the last revision even more.

I think the two things that are standing out for me is 1) the edges of the black line elements are pixelated -- there needs to be a bit of anti-aliasing going on there or something to blend/smooth the edges; and 2) the globe is shaded and has lighting where the black elements are flat.

Maybe adding a bit of contour and variation in shading would help with that.

Anti-Alis tool seems a bit buggy so there might be a few imperfections. I can send on the .PSD file if necessary.

That's a pretty sexy logo. It's a minute thing, but I really like the breaks in the line the separates Citadel and Conglomerate... that attention to details is awesome.

I have three things:

1. In terms of a web format (banner or simple, conveyable logo) the height of the black chevron will be hard to display. Can you rework it to be more horizontal? Think logo and the name to the right of it to appear on a banner. That being said, there's nothing saying we can't then use something like this on propaganda posters and promotional material where we have that kind of visual real-estate.

2. We'll want a light and a dark format (maybe one version with black (off-black?) chevrons and one with white) to post on dark or light backgrounds.

3. I definitely like the font you're using the corporation name and, as mentioned before, the dotted line that separates them. Is there anything that can be done to make it "pop"? I hate using that word because it's so ambiguous... maybe it's the black on gray that's dulling it out. Perhaps an off-black color, maybe a bevel/emboss... again, something to bring visual continuity between the name and the globe.

This is REALLY close... The anti-aliasing looks much better.
